Andrew went to the one place he knew would make Buster the angriest if he ever found out—he went to Witch Way, without considering, first, that might be a case of jumping out of the frying pan and straight into aggravation and sexual frustration. He dropped his bike in front of the shop and looked into the window to find Cassidy straightening up, sweeping, sorting, and tidying things away in a manner that made him look like a legitimate employee instead of someone who spent a large portion of the time meant for working instead harassing his own customers—at least if that customer was Andrew.

When Andrew pushed through the door, and the shop bell rang, Cassidy got as far as saying "We're about to close—" before he turned around enough to see Andrew and cut himself off, blinking in surprise.

"Well," he said, after a moment. "I must say, I didn't expect to see you again quite so soon."

"I was about to murder Buster," Andrew said, instead of giving anything like an actual explanation. Although, that was what the explanation would have boiled down to, anyways.

"If you're looking for someone to stay your hand," Cassidy said, "you may have come to the wrong place. Not that seeing you isn't a delight, of course, but I imagine there are more natural choices." He regarded Andrew for a moment. "You do look as though you could use a drink."

"Well," Andrew said. "It wouldn't be a terrible idea."

"Oh, yes it would be," Cassidy said—Andrew blinked. "Drinking while upset is never the answer, Andrew, it always ends in extremely regrettable behavior." He kept looking at Andrew, considering, then turned on his heel and walked toward the back room of the shop. "Stay right where you are, we're going to the park."

"We're … what?"

"Stay there!" Cassidy said, again, instead of explaining himself, then disappeared through the back door. Andrew stood in place, for a moment, feeling not a little confused—though, honestly, being around Cassidy, that shouldn't have been shocking—and then, when Cassidy did not immediately reappear, circulating around the shop, half-considering walking back out and … doing what, he didn't know. Not going back to Quail Street, that was for certain.

Andrew had just found a rack of honest to god captured dragon spirit stones—what one did with a dragon spirit, Andrew couldn't begin to guess, aside from regret having bought the stone, in the first place, once it turned out to be a fake—when Cassidy walked back through the door, wearing a fuzzy looking sweater and carrying what was almost definitely a handbag. Andrew blinked.

"You realize it's about ninety degrees out there, right?" he said. Probably, bringing up the handbag wouldn't help with anything. Probably, Cassidy wouldn't care, even if he did.

"I have a delicate constitution," Cassidy said, instead of something that actually made sense. He then grabbed a loaf of bread off the front display and started hustling Andrew out of the shop. "Come on, we're going to feed ducks."

"We're going to what?" Andrew said, as Cassidy pushed him out the front door.
